With the maturity of LED technology, its market scope is also further expanding. Whether it is commercial lighting or home lighting, the use of LED lamps is becoming more and more extensive. The LED lamps mentioned here include lanterns with LED bulbs as light sources, as well as integrated LED lamps. At present, it seems that LED lamps have only advantages and no disadvantages, but is this really the case? Let's take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of household LED lamps.
Let’s talk about the undeniable advantages first. 1. High light efficiency. This means that the same power LED lamps can bring more "quantity" of light. In other words, to achieve the same illuminance, the LED can be completed with a lower wattage, which is what we call energy saving and high efficiency; 2. Long service life. Due to the small light decay of LED lamps, many lamps produced by regular manufacturers can still maintain more than 80% of the light efficiency in a new state even after ten years of use. Therefore, no accident, the service life of LED lamps is very long. 3. Good security. LED lights, also known as light-emitting diodes, are low-voltage devices, especially in public spaces, their performance in terms of safety will be more stable; 4. Easy to produce. The convenience mentioned here refers to the fact that LED lamps are composed of many lamp beads. These lamp beads themselves are relatively small in size, so various shapes can be easily designed.
The above are some of the most obvious advantages of LED lamps. Let's briefly talk about the disadvantages. 1. Poor color rendering. Color rendering is a value that represents the true color of things restored by lamps. You may not believe it when you say it, the color rendering of an incandescent lamp that costs 1 yuan is better than that of an LED lamp that costs 20 yuan. The rough explanation is that incandescent lamps are heat-generating light sources, which are closer to the way the sun emits light, and the spectrum is continuous and comprehensive, but the spectrum of LEDs is very narrow, so it is difficult to achieve high color rendering; 2. The problem of stroboscopic. Many people think that LED has developed for so many years, and there should be no stroboscopic. In fact, as we said before, absolutely no flicker-free lamps do not exist, it just depends on whether you are using products from regular manufacturers. Good products, the stroboscopic will be much weaker, and three no products, there is no worst, only worse; 3, blue light hazard. So far, no semiconductor can emit truly white light, and the current so-called white LEDs are actually just an extra layer of phosphors added to the blue LEDs. And the harm of blue light, I will not repeat it here, too much is too annoying; 4. The price is high. You may ask, it has been developed for so many years, and the gross cost cannot come down. In fact, LED is a kind of high-tech product. Until now, our mainland does not have our own LED lighting control chip, and most of them are from the United States, Japan, Europe, or Taiwan. And the profit of the chip accounts for more than half of the total profit of the lamp (the package, power supply, housing, etc. add up to less than half), so the price can be imagined.
