Because of this, the reform of power technology has become the top priority of the development of LED display, so we need to understand the current problems of power technology:
PCB circuit layout design. The weight of the LED display box affects the size of the power supply, so the PCB board design needs to be minimized, so there are many factors to consider. Not only should pay attention to the safety distance, but also consider punching, waterproof and dustproof, potting and insulating glue, etc. The indoor screen should pay more attention to heat dissipation, and the selection and distribution of heating elements are particularly important to avoid local temperature rise. Electronic devices should be kept away from heat sources to slow down aging, so as to prolong the service life of the power supply.
certified product. At present, there is no certification standard for LED displays in my country, and relevant national departments are still researching and formulating. In view of the current situation, it is difficult to design power supply equipment to meet the above certifications at the same time. Developers need to spend a long time to make technical adjustments, try their best to meet different certifications and meet customer requirements.
Component selection. When the temperature of the internal product of the led lamp is 50 degrees, the temperature rise generated by the power supply is basically about 20 degrees, and the temperature of the components may reach 70 degrees. High temperature will cause some components to have parameter drift, which is more likely to shorten the service life. Therefore, the equipment must be selected that can work at high temperature for a long time, such as electrolytic capacitors, wires, etc.
Electrical performance design. The LED display power supply is mainly designed for constant current parameters. The magnitude of the current determines the brightness of the LED display. If the current error of the same batch of screens is large, the brightness of the screen will be uneven. And the change of temperature will also cause the output current of the power supply to shift. The display screen of the same project must control the error, so as to ensure the brightness of the screen is consistent.
power design. Although the LED lighting has high efficiency, there is still nearly 80% heat loss, which increases the temperature of the module and the box. When the LED display installed indoors is at room temperature, the inside of the box will reach 50 degrees, and the power supply will be at high temperature for a long time. Working in the environment, to ensure the life, it is necessary to increase the power margin.
Drive circuit. Commonly used LED drivers include digital and analog drivers. Digital driver refers to digital circuit driver, including digital dimming control, RGB full-color change and so on. Analog drive refers to analog circuit drive, including AC constant current switching power supply, DC constant current control circuit. The drive circuit is composed of electronic components, including semiconductor components, resistors, capacitors, inductors, etc. These components have a service life, and the failure of any one device will lead to partial or entire circuit function failure. The service life of LED lamp beads is about 7 years, and the service life of the power supply is basically 2 years, so the LED display box often has a drive circuit failure.
Power selection. LED display manufacturers mainly look at the voltage range of constant current and constant current when ordering power supplies. The constant current value is selected as the standard current of the LED lamp bead is lower, and the voltage range should be selected moderately.
Box cooling. The LED display is a cold light source, and the operating junction temperature cannot exceed the limit. The cabinet design should consider the beautiful appearance, convenient installation, picture quality, cabinet heat dissipation and other issues, so that the products produced can win the customer's satisfaction. The development of LED display screen is not long, and the technical experience is not perfect, so there is not much technical knowledge that can be used for reference. Many manufacturers do not pay attention to heat dissipation when producing indoor LED displays, often because the interior space of the box is too small or there is no ventilation structure, resulting in overheating of the box and affecting the efficiency of the screen.
