The electronic components on outdoor LED displays are highly integrated and resistant. The interference ability is also getting stronger and stronger. Lightning strikes can damage the display in various ways. For example, the electric current generated during a lightning strike can cause mechanical, electrical, and thermal damage to the outdoor LED display, so that the outdoor LED can be damaged. The display screen is seriously damaged and even causes a fire. Therefore, it is very important to protect the outdoor LED display from lightning.
Lightning protection measures for outdoor LED displays:
1. For the protection of direct lightning strikes, lightning rods are installed on the supporting structure of the outdoor LED display, and it is not necessary to consider installing lightning rods on the indoor LED display or the LED display next to the high-rise building.
2. In response to the steel structure, connect the steel structure to the outer shell of the outdoor LED display, equipotentially, and ground it. The grounding resistance is generally required to be below 10 ohms. If the resistance is not up to the requirements, it must be done. The additional artificial grounding grid and lightning protection device should also be well grounded.
3. For the lightning current induced on the signal line, add a lightning protection signal to the signal line. The lightning protection signal can be determined according to the signal interface of the system. If it is a network cable, install a network signal lightning protection device; install a serial interface The DB9 interface lightning protection device, the cross-sectional area of the ground wire shall not be less than 1.5mm square.

Second, when installing the liquid crystal display, avoid looking directly at ultraviolet rays and avoid direct sunlight for a long time. Finally, the grounded socket must be installed correctly, and there must be no errors in the zero-fire junction. If there is a frequent power failure, please check the power supply carefully.
