Article 6.2.10 of GB500016 "Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings"
Outdoor LED display should not be directly installed on the wall with combustible and non-combustible materials. The setting of the outdoor LED display should not block the exterior windows of the building, and should not affect the external fire fighting and rescue operations.

There are wooden billboards, chemical fiber or composite billboards, metal billboards, LED display screens, and neon billboards, among the billboards set up on the exterior walls or roofs of buildings. The impact of these billboards on building fire safety is mainly to shield the smoke exhaust vents, fire-fighting and rescue vents and personnel escape vents. Fires inside or outside the building's insulation layer spread to other floors through the billboards, and the billboards themselves cause fires.
Therefore, the following fire prevention measures should be taken for outdoor LED display installations on buildings:
1. The location of the outdoor LED display should try to avoid the smoke vent or external window; the outdoor LED display where it is unavoidable should be made of non-combustible materials and the distance from the external wall should not be less than 500mm.
2. The outdoor LED display should not block the fire-fighting and rescue ports and personnel escape ports.
3. Try to use non-combustible materials for outdoor LED displays.
4. The setting of the outdoor LED display should not destroy the integrity of the protective layer of the external thermal insulation system using B1 or B2 thermal insulation materials.
5. Outdoor LED display screens and other billboards that may cause fire hazards should not be directly installed on the outer wall made of B1 or B2 materials, but a certain distance should be maintained. The distance depends on the size of the billboard and heating characteristics.
