On December 16, Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Department organized relevant experts to carry out the provincial major research and development project "Silicon substrate UV LED epitaxy, chip, packaging and module key technology research and industrialization" undertaken by Jingneng Optoelectronics (Jiangxi) Co., Ltd. acceptance.
Based on the silicon substrate LED route with independent intellectual property rights, the project has developed a full chain of innovative technologies such as near-ultraviolet LED material growth, chip design, device technology and light source packaging on a 4-inch silicon substrate. The key performance aspects such as sex have reached the international advanced level.
The silicon substrate LED technology and process adopt a mature chemical wet method to remove the substrate nondestructively, which has obvious advantages in chip reliability and yield. The obtained vertical structure can better meet the high-power current diffusion of near-ultraviolet LED applications. , Single-sided light beam concentration and other requirements.
It is understood that compared with the traditional mercury lamp ultraviolet light source, the silicon substrate UV LED has the advantages of being more environmentally friendly, higher energy, lower energy consumption, longer life, and smaller size. It has begun to replace traditional mercury in many fields. Lamps are considered to be another important market after the application of white light LED lighting. Among them, near-ultraviolet (365nm-410nm) LEDs are the most widely used and have the largest market scale.
Driven by this project, the silicon substrate near-ultraviolet LED products launched by Jingneng Optoelectronics have been widely used in industrial curing, nail art, mosquito traps and other fields. The successful acceptance of the project will further enrich the silicon substrate LED product chain in Jiangxi Province, which is of great significance to promote the high-quality development of the LED industry in Jiangxi Province.
